A conversation with a friend that led to a rather insightful metaphor.

Broznik: another lovely disappointment due to acorns
Insightful Maddening Insanity: It's really more of a case of is it the Acorns or the Squirrel that came first
Broznik: it was the tree
Broznik: and we cant question the tree
Broznik: because it gives us so much
Broznik: that we wouldnt have a base
Broznik: nor a ground to stand on
Broznik: without it
Broznik: but then
Broznik: it gives acorns
Broznik: the bitter fruit
Broznik: but how can we show our distaste?
Broznik: we cant blame the tree
Broznik: that gives us so much
Broznik: so we blame each other
Broznik: and in doing so
Broznik: the tree becomes the master of chaos
Broznik: watching the tiny people beneath fight and argue
Broznik: because only the squirrels can appreciate the acorns
Broznik: but we all appreciate the tree
Broznik: its just that now
Broznik: we have trouble appreciating it BECAUSE of the acorns
Broznik: we knew that the tree had to provide for the squirrels
Broznik: but we wish that it could provide for us as well
Broznik: but it was never meant to provide for us
Broznik: it's goal was to help the squirrels
Broznik: we only saw beauty in it
Broznik: and enjoyed the trees other gifts
Broznik: but we all knew the acorn was coming
Broznik: we just didnt want to accept it
Broznik: so the real question is
Broznik: now that the acorn has been given
Broznik: can we still appreciate the tree?
Broznik: can we still appreciate the others that can enjoy the tree?
Broznik: or do we turn our hatred toward the tree and the squirrels?

Completely nonsensical to everyone except me, but I wanted a copy of it somewhere for myself.
